Our Rental Service

What is included in the rental price?

Included in the rental price is VAT, Insurance, and breakdown cover in the UK.

Do you require a deposit when I hire a van?

Yes. We require a deposit of £250.00 to be pre-authorised on the main driver’s credit or debit card before the vehicle can be rented. This deposit will be taken at the time of rental, not when the booking is made. Higher deposits are required for non UK Residents.

What do I do if I need to cancel my rental booking?

If you need to cancel a booking then you must do so in writing or by sending an email to rentals@dashdrive.co.uk

For more information please see our terms and conditions.

What is Excess Reduction?

Excess Reduction is not insurance. It is an optional service which, if accepted, limits your financial responsibility for damage to the Dash Drive vehicle. You can read more about the options available in our Terms and Conditions or on our booking page.

What is the excess when I hire a van?

The standard excess on most Dash Drive vehicles is either £1500 or £2000. This can be reduced on some vehicles to £350 by taking out the Excess Reduction for a small fee per rental day. Some vehicles may have a higher excess and Excess Reduction is not available on some vehicles. Please call our team for further information.

How long must I have been driving before I can hire a van?

Drivers must be aged over 21 (25 for some vehicles) and hold a valid driving licence, with correct category entitlement, and have at least 1 years driving experience (2 years for Drivers under 25). If you want to check these, please email us – rentals@dashdrive.co.uk
